Charter & corporate job intelligence

Every operator that might hire you — ranked, tracked, worked.

FlyHedral Career turns the FAA's own Part 135 charter and Part 91 corporate flight-department records into a target list scored against your hours, ratings, and home base — then gives you a CRM to actually work it: pipeline, contacts, and AI-drafted outreach. Built while running a real SIC search, not imagined from the outside.

How it works

Not a job board — a CRM that reads the FAA's data for you

Charter and corporate hiring rarely gets posted publicly; most of it happens through the hidden market of cold outreach and timing. Career cleans the FAA's raw operator and fleet files, scores every entry against your profile, and gives you a pipeline to work the list instead of a spreadsheet.

  • 1
    Score

Star-rate the aircraft you want to fly, set your home base and target regions, and weight what matters — Fleet Fit, Geography, Operator Size, SIC Pathway, Contact Warmth, Minimums Match. Auto-suggest can set the weights from your hours and ratings.

  • 2
    Target

Browse the full operator universe with combined filters — tier, region, status, operator type, minimum salary — or search by company, city, or airport code. Every operator carries its own score and priority tier.

  • 3
    Work

Move each lead through a 10-stage pipeline, log every call and email against it, and let AI draft the outreach. Statuses advance on their own as you log activity, and the dashboard surfaces who's due for a follow-up.

"My own search was a spreadsheet with 29 rows and I kept losing track of who I'd already emailed. Career is that spreadsheet's replacement — it just read the FAA's Part 135 file first, so I didn't have to."

Everything it does

A CRM built around one job: land the SIC seat

Discovery, personalized scoring, contact tracking, and AI outreach — one pipeline instead of a spreadsheet.

Personalized scoring

Every operator is scored 0–100 across six dimensions — Fleet Fit, Geography, Operator Size, SIC Pathway, Contact Warmth, Minimums Match — then bucketed into A/B/C/D priority tiers.

How:Star-rate aircraft categories and set your own weight sliders, or let auto-suggest propose weights from your hours and ratings.

Two FAA datasets, cleaned

1,786 Part 135 charter operators (11,664 aircraft) and ~19,575 Part 91 corporate flight departments, translated from raw FAA model codes and FSDO office codes into real aircraft categories and regions.

How:Full-text search by company, city, state, or airport code, with combined filters for tier, region, and operator type.

10-stage pipeline

A Kanban board — Recent Activity, In Contact, Next Steps, Applied, Check Back, To Research, On Radar, Will Apply, Hired, Passed — with collapsible columns and automatic follow-up scheduling.

How:Log an interaction and the status advances itself — "resume sent" moves an operator to Applied, an inbound reply moves it to In Contact.

Contacts & interaction log

Chief pilot and director-of-ops contact records — name, title, email, phone, LinkedIn — with a full log of every email, call, voicemail, application, and interview per operator.

How:Attach contacts to an operator as you find them; every interaction you log builds the timeline and drives the auto-status logic.

AI outreach assistant

Cold outreach email drafts tailored to a specific operator's fleet and your profile, plus contact-strategy suggestions and follow-up drafts.

How:Generate a draft from an operator's page, edit it to sound like you, and send it your own way — nothing goes out automatically.

Hiring alerts & careers-page discovery

A scraper finds operators' careers pages automatically; a second scraper pulls open SIC/First-Officer listings and matches them back to operators, surfacing "Hiring" flags on the dashboard.

How:Check the dashboard for follow-ups due, funnel counts, and top targets — hiring matches show up without you searching for them.
What's inside

Two federal datasets, cleaned and scored

The unglamorous data engineering — cleaning, categorizing, and geocoding two messy federal databases — is the part that's actually hard to copy.

The typical search

Four stages, one place to run them

This is the workflow Career is built around — the same one running a live SIC search today.

1

Build your profile

Hours, ratings, type ratings, home base, and relocation preferences — what personalizes every score.

2

Set your weights

Star-rate the aircraft you want to fly and weight the six scoring dimensions, or take the auto-suggest defaults.

3

Work the ranked list

Filter, search, and move operators through the pipeline as you make contact — statuses advance as you log activity.

4

Let AI carry outreach

Draft a tailored cold email or follow-up in one pass, then check the dashboard for who's due for a nudge.

Who's behind it

Built by someone still in the right seat

I'm Russell — a working CFI. I'm at the airport most days, teaching real students in real airplanes, and dealing with the same weather, checkrides, and paperwork as every other instructor and pilot.

FlyHedral didn't start as a company. Every one of these tools began as something I built for myself — because I needed it that week, for my own flying or my own students, and nothing out there did the job the way a pilot would want it done. Once they made my flying easier, keeping them to myself felt wrong.

So that's what FlyHedral is: the tools I actually use, built by someone who's still out there flying and instructing — not a software company guessing at what pilots need.
